Abstract
|
|
|
The puerperal thrombophlebitisfinvolving the lower extremity is abrupt in onset with severe pain acid edema of the leg and thigh. The venous thrombosis involves much of the deep venous system from the foot of the iliofemoral region.
Probably the only accurate diagnostic procedure is carefully performed and interpreted phlebography. A case of puerperal deep vein thrombophlebitis is presented, and its literature is briefly reviewed.
